Wood Pellets Production

Biomass Pellets Machine

Biomass pellets machine is utilized to produce biomass pellets.

Biomass pellets is a collective term used to describe all forms of fuel pellets produced from organic materials, therefore this also includes wood pellets. There are many biomass materials which can potentially be used for fuel pellets for stoves and boilers.

Waste from Food Crops Such As Straw

At Biofueltech we have produced many different types of pellets. One example is pellets made from wheat straw. We have also used barley straw to make fuel pellets. These materials are often regarded as waste and in many cases they are still burnt in the field. By using these materials to produce a valuable commodity such as pellets makes food crop production more profitable, without increasing food prices which is a concern.

Biomass Energy Crops Purpose Grown For Fuel Such as Hemp and Switchgrass

To meet growing global food demand, land should first and foremost be used for food production, and the wastes from food crops can be used for biomass. However there are areas of land where food crops cannot be grown. In these instances there are purpose grown energy crops which can be used for fuel purposes, these include:Miscanthus, Reed Canary Grass, Switchgrass, SRC Willow and Hemp.

Hemp is also a food crop, however it can also be grown on land unsuitable for most food crops. Hemp is one of the most promising biomass materials for fuel pellet production as hemp pellets produce similar ash content to standard grade wood pellets. These are just a few of the types of crops that can be grown and then processed in fuel pellets.

At Biofueltech we can advise you on processing various biomass materials into pellet form, and the types of fuel pellets they will produce, for example the range of ash content.
